Summary of Position:

This individual is involved with the entire accounting cycle and will also work on special projects as assigned.  Daily responsibilities include supervisory responsibility of the accounting department.  This position is located in the Des Moines area.


Essential Functions:

Maintain integrity of the general ledger accounting system and oversee the maintenance and integrity of all accounting general ledgers and the accounting sub-ledgers (accounts receivable and payable).

Reconcile bank statements and general ledger account balances.

Preparation for year-end audit by preparing required audit work papers and insuring the integrity of the general ledger trial balance.

Prepare journal entries and analysis of accounts

Maintain fixed assets, related asset schedules and depreciation journal entries.

Assist with budget, fixed assets, and investments research and analysis.

Detail-oriented and analytical skills.

Knowledge of Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel, and Explorer.
