Midwest Search Group has been steadily growing and matching exceptional talent with exceptional employment opportunities since 2000. In January 2003, we added Midwest Professional Staffing, to provide additional recruiting talent for temporary, temporary to hire and full time job opportunities. In January 2005, we launched another new branch of our business, Midwest Technical Solutions, specializing in full time IT positions, as well as IT consulting.

Jim Bruno Banking jim@midwestsearchgroup.com Jim was born in Baltimore, Maryland and he received his degree in Finance from Towson State University. Shortly after college Jim was transferred to Des Moines with Massey Ferguson and held several positions ranging from finance to marketing. Jim has spent the last 11 years assisting banks throughout the Midwest with their staffing needs and helping candidates secure new positions. Jim has recently served as the Ethics chair for the Iowa Association of Staffing Professionals.
	John Blanchard, CPA Accounting and Finance john@midwestsearchgroup.com John is a native Iowan and graduate of the University of Northern Iowa with a degree in Accounting. He started his career as a CPA with McGladrey & Pullen in 1991 providing audit and tax services. After 3 ½ years in public accounting, John has been providing specialized recruiting for large, medium and small businesses throughout the Midwest. John has been an active volunteer with the Iowa Society of CPA's, serving on the Career Awareness Committee.
Joe Steer, CPA Accounting and Finance joe@midwestsearchgroup.com Joe was born and raised in Burlington, IA and is a graduate of the University of Iowa. He started his career with Deloitte and Touche, LLP, and four years later joined Burlington Northern Sante Fe Corporation as the Manager of Financial Reporting. Since 1997 Joe has been a recruiter serving companies of all industries and sizes throughout Iowa. He is an active member of the ISCPA and mentors accounting students at the local colleges. Joe brings a consultive approach to recruiting.
	Julie Blassl Office Manager julie@midwestsearchgroup.com Julie is an Iowa native. She manages the office for our recruiting staff. Julie has over 25 years office experience in various fields, such as insurance, manufacturing, and the computer industry. Her background is in the areas of administrative assistance, inside sales, customer service and office management.

Midwest Technical Solutions

Mark Whitcomb Information Technology mark@midwesttechnicalsolutions.com Mark is an Iowa native and received his Bachelor’s Degree from Iowa State University. Mark specializes in Permanent, Contract, and Contract-to-hire IT opportunities. Mark has been recruiting Information Technology professionals in the Des Moines market for twenty years.
	Trish Lemke Information Technology trish@midwesttechnicalsolutions.com Trish is a native of Mannheim, Germany and came to the United States when she was 7 years old. Trish has a Bachelor's Degree in Business Management from William Penn University. Prior to joining Midwest Technical Solutions, she held a career as a Business Analyst with a Des Moines insurance company. Trish combines both a strong blend of relationship building and technical experience to her recruiting approach.
Melissa Pritchard Information Technology melissa@midwesttechnicalsolutions.com Melissa was born and raised in Des Moines, Iowa. She received her Bachelors Degree from Central College majoring in Psychology with a Sociology minor. She has four years of recruiting experience with three years in the Information Technology field. Melissa’s experience gives her the ability to effectively communicate with technical professionals and to successfully match individuals with their career goal.

	Bill Raine Operations Manager bill@midwestprofessionalstaffing.com Bill was born in Dubuque, Iowa and graduated from Loras College with a degree in Marketing. Bill is an award winning recruiter with over 15 years experience in the recruiting industry. Bill has spent the majority of his career recruiting in the Accounting, Finance, Office Administration and Information Technology fields.
Patty Moore Staffing Specialist patty@midwestprofessionalstaffing.com Patty was born in Peoria, IL and attended Illinois Central College. She has more than 9 years of recruiting experience where she specialized in on-site staffing and provided all facets of human resource. Her focus now is with Office Administration and Accounting.
	Crystal VanderWerff Recruiting Specialist crystal@midwestprofessionalstaffing.com Crystal lived in Pella, Iowa for 19 years before moving to the Des Moines area. Crystal received her Bachelors in Business Management from William Penn University. Upon graduation, Crystal started her career as a Staffing Specialist with Midwest Professional Staffing. Crystal has now turned her focus onto recruiting qualified candidates and assisting them with opportunities within outstanding companies in the Des Moines area. Along with recruiting and interviewing candidates, Crystal also coaches candidates on interview tips and performs resume critiques.

Jason brings an extensive sales background to the team while focusing on administrative and accounting.
	Karena Cruse Administrative Assistant Karena@midwestprofessionalstaffing.com Karena was born in St. Paul, Minnesota and graduated from Iowa State University with a degree in Psychology. She has been providing various levels of office support for over 10 years. She originally interviewed and was placed by Midwest Professional Staffing before returning to the company as their administrative support. When Karena is not spreading cheer throughout our office, she enjoys training aspiring models and actors in Iowa and the surrounding area.
